Notes on painting

Since I was a child, I have loved to paint. My grandfather, and my Dad showed me how using wonderful flowing watercolours and delicate strokes on the page. I was mesmerised. My style however, was never going to be so delicate and observational - my style is abstract, bold, and in my mind - it’s a journey through my thoughts at the particular time of painting.

I started painting during 2020 and 2021 as an escape from looking at my screen endlessly, and it has felt like a breath of fresh air. I would say I have been slowly developing my style more and more, playing with different techniques, brush strokes and layering. I’m excited to see where this journey takes me in the future.
